How To Make Vegan Almond Milk

Almond Milk

One of the main foods to reduce or give up on an acne treatment plan for most women is dairy. So what is the best dairy alternative?

Almond milk is super yummy, super creamy and even good for your skin. And almond milk made at home is better because you have the choice of making it without a sweetener or additives.

This recipe is the almond milk that I personally make and always have a stock of in the fridge! I’ve been making almond milk for years and have tried all sorts of fancy recipes. In the end simple was always the best.

Almond Milk

– 1 cup of almonds
– 4 cups of filtered or spring water

Loving Preparation

Soak almonds in a bowel of filtered water overnight (12 hours is ideal). Make sure to add enough water to allow for the almonds to swell up. After soaking drain the almonds, then add them with a new 4 cups of water to a blender (high speed is best!). Blend until smooth.

You will now need to strain the liquid. If you have a nut milk bag that is ideal, but you can also use a stocking. I used a stocking for a few months before investing in a nut milk bag. Trust me, they are cheap and worth the investment.

That’s it! This milk will last in the fridge for up to 4 days. It will separate so make sure to stir the mix before consuming.
